If you read my review for Season 1 of Outer Banks then you know these kids stressed me the hell out!
But I absolutely loved this series and I can not WAIT for Season 2 of Outer Banks!

Here’s Everything We Know About Outer Banks Season 2

Outer Banks Season 2 Release Date
There’s no date just yet but …
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, creator and showrunner Jonas Pate revealed that his plans for the show extend far beyond season 2.
“Ever since we started, we always viewed it as something that was probably like a four-season, maybe five-season show, but definitely four seasons,” Pate said. “We’ve sort of long-arced it out pretty far. I’m just hoping that we get a chance to actually tell those stories.”
I don’t know if my heart could take five seasons of this gold chase, especially not with the way Season 1 went, but I’d love to see three seasons!
And as soon as I get a release date I’ll update this section.
Outer Banks Season 2 Cast
So with the way Season 1 ended, seeing as how no one actually ended up dying (thank goodness), I can only assume that the full gang will be back, including Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Charles Esten, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, and Drew Starkey.
As for new cast members?
Bailey told Seventeen that she thinks the Pogues will be seeking revenge over what happens with John B.
“There’s gonna be a whole new dynamic,” she explained. “How do you go about life without your best friend? I think it’s going to be rough on everyone. And we’re going to have to come together and take care of each other now more than ever. But revenge is going to be on all of our minds.”
Pankow also mentioned that the ‘absence’ of John B will be felt amongst the group.
“Justice is going to be served, but it’s just a matter of who does it,” he told Seventeen. “I think I really want to see him struggle with coming to terms with the fact that his best friend is gone, and what’s the point in trying any more?”
Oh, and I heard somewhere online that the creator of the show said that there were going to be “new villains that would put Rafe to shame”, so we’re definitely getting at least one new cast member! Not sure if I’m happy about a new villain though, but FINE!
Outer Banks Season 2 Plot
There isn’t much news about the plot for Season 2, but according to the cast we can all conclude that something big is going to happen to John B. He’s either going to end up in jail or dead. (Maybe ‘missing’ like his father?)
However … Season 1 also left off with the gold making it’s way to the Bahamas, so clearly the new season of Outer Banks won’t be taking place in Outer Banks anymore.
I believe the new season, at least half of it, will take place in the Bahamas, as the kids try to find the gold in a new hidden spot. We’ll just have to wait and see!
And as soon as I get more news I’ll update this section.
Outer Banks Season 2 Trailer
We don’t have a trailer just yet, but as soon as it’s released I’ll update this section and I’ll also post my review of the trailer as well.
Outer Banks Season 2 Predictions
So *birdman hand rub* … here are my predictions for Outer Banks Season 2 …
- John B is going to end up in jail
- JJ or Pope is going to LOSE his shit and do something drastic
- John B and Sarah are going to go to the Bahamas but on their way back to Outer Banks something is going to go wrong (and this is how the other Pogues will know about John B)
- Sarah’s dad gets killed (because pretty much every adult that comes into contact with this gold ends up dying anyway, plus I really need him out this show, I’m tired of him)
- the Pogues find the gold again, but can’t get it back to Outer Banks
But no seriously, I really do need Sarah’s dad out the picture, ugh, he’s annoying!
Outer Banks Season 2 Questions
The only question I have right now is …
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENS TO JOHN B?
I really need to know! ‘Cause like … how are they taking the main character out? He clearly can’t die, so it has to be jail since he’s on the run right now. But I don’t know, I guess we’ll just have to wait. (Gosh I hate waiting.)
