Y’all I randomly saw one of these “Wicked” movie character posters online the other day, and … OMG! I had to check my emails to see if they had the full set somewhere because why are they so freaking GOOD!?
And I KNOW I said the same thing about the “Agatha All Along” character posters … and the “Inside Out 2” character posters but I mean it!! Just look at these “Wicked” movie character posters!!
HOWEVER … if you’ve been living under a rock for the last few weeks and still don’t know what Wicked is about:
“Misunderstood because of her green skin, a young woman named Elphaba forges an unlikely but profound friendship with Glinda, a student with an unflinching desire for popularity. Following an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their relationship soon reaches a crossroads as their lives begin to take very different paths.”
So yeah, this should be good!
But beware — it’s totally a musical babes. So if you hate those, brace yourself! Anywho …

Just in time to geek over, before the movie premieres this Thanksgiving!
But first! The actual poster art for the movie, because look how amazing this one is!!

But like seriously! I LOVE a good poster! (I majored in Advertising, for this very reason. But whatevs. Let me not go down that road.) Here are the character posters, along with the actors, and their characters below! I also found a few more movie posters that were released that are super cute, so adding them below as well!

But did y’all know all of these people were in this damn movie!?? Because I didn’t! Every god damn commercial I’ve seen has been Cynthia and Ariana, Ariana and Cynthia. That’s it!
But maybe that’s because I’ve only seen commercials for Wicked merch?? I haven’t seen the musical, so I wasn’t too excited to see this. (I’m actually going because my daughter is DYING to go!) BUT … had I seen an actual trailer with the FULL cast, I probably would have been WAY more excited to see this.
Of course, now that I know WHO is gonna be in this, I’m totally excited! I love most of these actors and actresses, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they play these characters.
And I’m also pretty shocked at how diverse this cast is!! That alone would have made me interested!
Because no … having Cynthia as one of the leads isn’t enough! Movies LOVE throwing a Black actress or actor in a main role, and then painting the rest of the fence white! So I’m not always impressed by ONE main actor of color! Cause have you seen Alien: Romulus and how racist they made that first act? Shesh!
But it looks like we’ve got representation from a few different backgrounds at the forefront of this film, so I’m looking forward to seeing how well they use these characters! How about YOU!?
