If you haven’t watched the new Gossip Girl (HBO Max reboot) series yet … then you probably missed that they revealed Gossip Girl’s identity in the very first episode. Which, yes, I know … is freaking crazy!
However, the reveal actually makes sense, since last time around Gossip Girl viewers had to wait until the end of the series to find out who Gossip Girl really was! But, now that we know who Gossip Girl is … the writers have their work cut out for them! This series is going to have to be way more interesting now to hold the attention of viewers.
Part of the reason Gossip Girl was so successful, was because it was incredibly exciting trying to figure out who the hell Gossip Girl was! But now that the element of surprise has been stripped away from this new series, things could fall flat, hella quick. But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!
In the meantime …
Here’s who Gossip Girl is in the reboot …
It’s … American actress Tavi Gevinson aka Kate Keller aka their god damn teacher.
Yup, that’s right, the new Gossip Girl is a teacher!
I’m just as shocked as you are. But with the way these kids were tormenting their school, I’m not really shocked someone finally had enough and took a stand.
As I said before, it’s going to be interesting seeing how things play out, now that we know who Gossip Girl is. But so far, these kids don’t seem to have an issue getting into drama, so this may just work out!
Gossip Girl is now streaming on HBO Max with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays.
