Listen! I’ve had this Tenet movie trailer sitting in my inbox for how long now? FOR DAYS! I just checked. Lol (Y’all know Black folks always late for shit. Makes it even worse that I’m Caribbean right? Lol) But I’m so damn glad I just sat and watched this shit! OMG!

First of all, it’s a dope sci-fi action film, and the lead character is Black! Do I need to say more? Okay, fine I’ll say more!

But no seriously, I just watched the trailer and I still feel the thrill from just those few minutes. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds!

That bit at the end of the trailer, with them shoving this guy’s face onto the train tracks was definitely unexpected!

Oh and the gun that doesn’t shoot bullets, but actually captures bullets, when you pull the trigger is such a cool idea. (Well, actually! Let’s see how that actually plays out first. Lol)

But here’s what Tenet is all about …

John David Washington is the new protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.”

Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real-time.

Not time travel. Inversion.

The international cast of “Tenet” also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.

More about the film

Nolan wrote and directed the film, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. “Tenet” is produced by Emma Thomas and Nolan. Thomas Hayslip served as executive producer.

Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson, and special effects supervisor Scott Fisher. The score is composed by Ludwig Göransson and “Tenet” was filmed on location across seven countries.

Warner Bros. Pictures is distributing “Tenet” worldwide and has slated the film for an Aug 12, 2020 release.

I Really Wanna See The Tenet Movie In Theaters But …

Do I really wanna risk my life for a movie?

Not really!

As much as I’d love to see this, and as exciting as the trailer is … I’m not ready JUST yet!

PLUS … they keep changing the damn date! Lol First it was July, now it’s August! And that right there is enough to make me not wanna go out anymore.

So I’ll just wait and see what happens.
