Here’s Why You Need To Download This Spies In Disguise Mobile Game Inspired By The Movie For Your Child

Listen Linda! (Or Liam! Lol) We already know your child has a damn phone, so stop side eyeing my post title. (And if not, they probably have some sort of device that you can download games on, so stop it and just download the Spies in Disguise mobile game already!)

Unless your child really doesn’t have a device then … oops! You can go read something else on my blog then. Lol UNLESS you’re a gamer (unlike me) and would play this on your commutes to work, and then in that case … keep reading. Lol

Mobile game publishing studio and developer, Denali Publishing, announced their Spies in Disguise: Agents on the Run game based on the upcoming animated spy comedy adventure, “Spies in Disguise,” a few days ago, and I was one of the very first people to test it out in Cali during The Geekly Retreat.

Now being the “non-gamer” (or should I say, extremely NEW gamer) that I am … I was a tad bit sad when they told me that the Spies in Disguise mobile game was similar to the Temple Run game that came out years ago.

Why? Cause I SUCKED at Temple Run! Lol

I’d last about 10 seconds before I crashed into something and died. Lol (Yet, somehow my kid is a lot better than I am, but that’s another story for another day.)

However this Spies in Disguise mobile game is a cinematic-style, endless runner mobile gaming experience that will send players on top-secret missions to collect characters, gear and more in order to become the world’s best special agent.

And who doesn’t wanna be a spy?

I had my share of spy missions a few months ago when I checked out the Spy Museum here in NYC and trained to be JUST like Black Widow. I failed at half my missions, but that’s besides the point! MOVING ON! Lol

So how do you play this Spies in Disguise mobile game?

In Spies in Disguise: Agents on the Run, players will recruit the film’s lead characters Walter, Lance, and Marcy to help them unlock futuristic gadgets, amazing abilities, and fully tricked out spy vehicles in their quest to become the world’s best special agent.

The mobile game will also feature opportunities for players to compete for weekly rewards by aligning with one of the super-secret spy agencies, as well as a multitude of game modes offering players numerous in-game elements to discover for a highly engaging and truly endless experience.

All you have to do to play is swipe your finger on the screen to tell your player which way to go. (Left or right to dodge obstacles, up to jump over things, and down to smoothly slide under. And when I say SMOOTH, I mean smooth bay-bay! I was so damn shocked at how smooth Lance slides under things it was a bit sad. Lol) You can also collect coins, and all that jazz!

When does the mobile game launch?

Spies in Disguise: Agents on the Run will officially launch on mobile devices worldwide via the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Amazon App Store this fall.

My thoughts on the game?

I like it! Despite not being a gamer, it’s not AS fast as I remember Temple Run was … so that’s beneficial for new gamers like me and of course kids! That doesn’t mean I didn’t still suck at this. Lol But I can totally see my kid playing this on our train commutes to events or in the house and having fun! So I definitely recommend it.

Blue Sky Studios presents “Spies in Disguise,” an animated spy comedy adventure set in the slick, high-octane, globe-trotting world of international espionage. Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is…not.

But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo is forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise –transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic…pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril.

The film stars Will Smith, Tom Holland, Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled and Masi Oka. The film is produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Michael J. Travers with Chris Wedge and Kori Adelson serving as executive producers.

“Spies in Disguise” opens in U.S. theaters December 25, 2019.
