Never have I ever been so excited to see an email pop up in my inbox! I literally just squealed when I saw an update for Netflix’s “Raising Dion” pop up on my phone just now. Do you know how LONG I’ve been waiting for updates about Raising Dion Season 2?? Well, today we got a cast update for Season 2 of Raising Dion and I’m so damn happy!
Netflix announced today that they’re adding Rome Flynn (How to Get Away with Murder), Aubriana Davis (Genius: Aretha, The Resident), Tracey Bonner (Sweet Magnolias, Black Lightning),and Josh Ventura (P-Valley, Queen Sugar) to the cast of Raising Dion Season 2 (character descriptions below) and now I’m officially excited for Season 2.
I absolutely loved Rome in HTGAWM, and Tracey in Black Lightning.
This is gonna be good!
Of course, returning as series regulars from Season 1 are Alisha Wainwright, Ja’Siah Young, Sammi Haney, and Jazmyn Simon. In addition, Ali Ahn and Griffin Robert Faulkner have been upped to series regulars for Season 2! Which means, ish is about to get real!

He is protective yet playful, and develops a close relationship with both Dion and Nicole.
AUBRIANA DAVIS will play “Janelle Carr,” a 15-year-old girl who has been labelled destructive and dangerous. Janelle’s mother brings her to BIONA in hopes of managing her “behavioral issues” once and for all.
As she forms a bond with Nicole and Dion, Janelle begins to feel heard and valued for the first time in her life.
TRACEY BONNER will play “Simone Carr.” Simone is Janelle’s mother who is frightened for her daughter’s future, and just wants her to live a normal life.
