I Just Watched The Project Power Trailer And I’m Looking Forward To Seeing Dominique Fishback In This
I’ve been waiting for the Project Power trailer to drop all morning since Netflix’s Strong Black Lead twitter account posted the photos yesterday mentioning that the new trailer would be released today. And even though I’m still not sure about this movie, I’m kind of excited to see Dominique Fishback in this.
I have absolutely no clue why, but I just get a feeling that I’m gonna like her in this. And I’m learning to just trust my instincts!
So unless this movie is TRASH, she’s gonna be the one to watch.
Even with an OG like Jamie Foxx at her side.
Oh and after watching this trailer I’m super confused. Did they say this pill gives you 5 minutes of power? That’s it? And there’s a risk that it could KILL you instead of giving you powers? TF? I’m good. I’m not one for taking drugs anyway. I’ll take my chances with being human and boring if that means staying alive.
I’m also super mad they gave away such a HUGE plot detail in this trailer.
There has to be a ton of shit going down if they were willing to just tell us that Jamie’s daughter was basically kidnapped right? Oh AND she’s the reason the pill even exists? *smh*
But if the last few seconds of this Project Power trailer is a testament to the humor that will be in this movie then I’m here for it!
Oh and is that CHIKA next to Dominique!? Hold up now! I’m excited to see her as well. Although it’s probably a super small part, I love her music, so I’m super excited for her.
Project Power premieres on August 14th.

On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user.
