The Space Jam 2 Character Posters Are A Little Dull, Despite Having So Much Color And It Makes Me Sad

Have y’all seen the new Space Jam: A New Legacy posters for the movie characters? I’m so torn on them! Like, the characters are super cute, but despite all the color, they feel a tad washed out and dull? The characters fade into the posters, and I don’t know if they’re a good representation of the new Space Jam 2 movie, or if they’re spot on.

I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but most of the time you can tell when something is great, by how much effort they put into the cover art! I’m just saying!

I can barely explain why I don’t really like these posters, but they just feel super weird to me.

I feel like the characters should pop off the new Space Jam: A New Legacy posters, but ya know … they just don’t! So I’m sad about that. But I am kind of excited to see the Space Jam sequel! I hope they don’t screw this ish up!

Wait, did you even KNOW there was a Space Jam sequel coming out this year?

(If not, you clearly haven’t been paying attention to Popcorn and Tequila, so you should change that ASAP. I wrote up the film earlier this year in this post.)

About Space Jam 2

Space Jam A New Legacy movie poster

NBA champion LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter.  This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids.

When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen before.

It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

However, here are what the characters look like in the new Space Jam: A New Legacy posters.

The more I look at these posters, the more I hate ‘em. Ugh!

What do you think of the new posters?

Oh and don’t forget, Space Jam: A New Legacy premieres on HBO Max and in theaters on July 16th.
