The New “I LOVE BOOSTERS” Character Posters Are Here And They’re Fly AF — I’m Obsessed

Okay, so we’re FINALLY getting a closer look at I LOVE BOOSTERS before the film releases, and honestly, these character posters are A1 baby! Up until now, details about the film have been pretty minimal. And by minimal I mean … minuscule! All I’ve gotten so far is the logline: a crew of professional shoplifters takes aim at a cutthroat fashion maven — it’s like community service. And I’m not sure what we’re supposed to do with THAT, but somehow, that one sentence already feels perfectly in line with the kind of offbeat, genre-bending storytelling we’ve come to expect from Boots Riley.

If you’re a fan, like moi … then you’ve been following Riley’s work for years now, so you already know this project is a big deal. But if this is your first time checking out a Boots Riley film, just know that Riley is one of those directors whose creative voice is instantly recognizable. He’s bold, surreal, socially sharp, and completely unafraid to get weird with it. So of course, after hits like Sorry to Bother You and I’m a Virgo, we’ve all built a certain expectation that whatever he does next is going to swing big.

And these character posters are doing just that!

They’re loud, colorful, bright, and unapologetically funky … in the very best way. From the makeup to the costumes, it’s clear that the styling is going to jump right off the screen, hinting at a world that’s visually rich and probably a little chaotic. And I’m here for it all.

There’s already a strong sense that the film’s color grading and overall aesthetic are going to be just as much of a statement as the story itself. So I’m excited to see if that stays true throughout the entire film. And with colors like these, I’m even more excited to see what the sets are going to look like!
