I’d buy me a house! I hope you sang that in the “If I had a million dollars” jingle from back in the day.
However, FX’s new comedy series “Dying For Sex” has caused quite a commotion online this week! And not because it’s a show about a woman who goes on an adventure to explore her sexual desires after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Nope!
This time, the outrage was triggered by a banner for FX’s new series “Dying For Sex” showing up on the Disney Plus homepage.

Parents are BIG mad that their sweet little munchkins had to lay eyes on the word “sex”, as if the platform personally tried to ruin family movie night.
And I am SHOCKED … that some folks JUST found out that Disney Plus, the same platform that gave us Mickey Mouse Clubhouse *clap* *clap* and Baby Yoda, now has *gasp* adult content. You know, shows and movies meant for grown-ups! The same damn grown-ups who happen to be paying for the subscription!? Oh, the drama! It’s almost Oscar-worthy.
Of course, Disney Plus was once just for family content, back when it originally got started, so I get why parents are annoyed at the Hulu merge. But this was announced so long ago!
Disney owns, like, half of Hollywood. Not literally! But baby … they currently own Hulu, FX, Marvel, Star Wars, and even a little something called 20th Century Studios. (Which is releasing a new film called The Amateur this month! And you should check it out, I thought it was pretty good.)
But that means their catalog is gonna include everything from “Turning Red” (which yes, I know that one also caused chaos) to “Deadpool” (which I’m hearing some of y’all let your kids watch) and everything in between.
So … why is this a problem … again??
You can literally just change your settings on Disney Plus so the “grown folks” stuff doesn’t pop up.
Keep reading to see how you can change your settings.
Updating your settings takes the same amount of time it takes to cuss Disney Plus on Threads. Abeg! How are YOU mad, because YOU didn’t set up your profiles correctly?? Why are we still using ONE profile for everything when you can create like 5 for … FREE?
I use parental controls no matter what the streaming app is. I also watch with my 7 year old. There’s too much going on in the world (especially with the kids kink pedo content on YouTube) to allow my child full reign to make their own decisions as far as streaming content.- Tiffany E; Black Disney Moms Member
So, this is where I have to ask …
Is Disney really the problem, or are you and your lack of parenting skills the real villains in this story? It’s giving “Mufasa: The Lion King” had 2 villains, and so does your household, baby.
So, let’s fix that …
Shaye, signing out …
Alright, that’s all I’m gon’ say now … I’m done!
How you run yo’ Disney household, is none of my business chile, but stop god damn complaining, when it’s such an easy fix!
