All The Deets About Season 2 Of Disney+’s High School Musical Series

Yup, that’s right, if you’re a fan of the Disney Plus High School Musical series, then you’ll be happy to know that we’re getting a season 2 later on in 2020!

Disney+ announced this morning that production has resumed in Salt Lake City for the second season of their series, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”.

However, I know y’all must have questions, so let’s dig in! (P.s – I’ll keep this post updated as I get more news about the second season of HSMTMTS.)

Disney Plus announced there would be a season 2 of High School Musical series before the first season was even released.

Yup, as crazy as that sounds, that’s exactly what they did.

And I was SO confused last year when they made that announcement. Lol Like I didn’t even have time to see if I LIKED the show before they just threw it out there!

But I guess Disney knows WTF they’re doing right? Cool! Copy! Carry on! Lol

When will Season 2 of the High School Musical series be released?

HSMTMTS is slated for a late 2020 debut on Disney+.

However, at this time that’s all we know. So as soon as they tell us the exact date I’ll let you know!

But until then, aren’t you excited???

Will the High School Musical series cast be performing the High School Musical musical again?

Nope! (Thank god? Lol) As much as I loved the show, I’m not sure we’d all keep watching if they did ALL the High School Musical musicals! Lol Plus, this is supposed to be a school, so it makes sense that the musical would change each year.

For the second season, the East High drama students will perform “Beauty and the Beast” as their Spring musical.

The second season will also include reimagined musical numbers from both the “High School Musical” movies and the stage production of “Beauty and the Beast,” in addition to brand-new songs that join hits from season one like “Born to Be Brave” and “Just for a Moment.”

Here’s how the cast announced Season 2 and hinted at what musical they were performing:
