Yup, you read that right! The Frozen 2 movie was SO damn good it may have convinced me to finally quit. (And since your face probably looks like Olaf’s in the photo above, let me explain. Lol)
Now I’m not saying Disney and Elsa’s new hit, “Into The Unknown” is SOLEY responsible for me quitting my job (once I finally work up the courage to submit my resignation letter lol) but I am saying that it made me realize that I do need to trust in myself for once.
I mean, I was literally just at the red carpet premiere for Frozen 2 a few days ago, happy as can be, and now here I am back in NYC dying … slowly! Lol
I haven’t even been back for a full week yet and I’m already miserable!
Yet for some reason I keep thinking I need to silently suffer, because I’m too scared of the unknown. I quit this Summer and it felt SO good to finally be done.
And then I got scared and took my job back thinking it was the universe telling me this is where I needed to be.
Well, jokes on me!
I realize now that it was the universe’s way of testing me, to see if I really truly believed in myself. I didn’t. And right now, even though I keep saying I DO, I don’t!
I’m scared!
But when I think back to Elsa in the Frozen 2 movie, so was she! Yet when she finally found the courage to believe in her instincts, things seemed to work out. Yeah it’s just a movie, but doesn’t this also teach us that we should bet on ourselves more?
The Frozen 2 movie, as you may have guessed from watching the trailer, is way more intense than the first film.
But it’s extremely hilarious as well! Especially Sven and Kristoff – who you’re going to be shockingly surprised at. (Think boy band, R&B music video! Lol)
And the graphics in this movie are STUNNING! Like nothing I’ve seen before!
So what makes the Frozen 2 movie better than the first? (Yeah I just said that! Lol) Frozen 2 connects with us (as in us millennials and grown folks) in a way the first one connected with our kids!
For me, the intense back story of what REALLY happened to her dad and mom, is what drew me in. Finding out why and how Elsa got her powers was incredible.
And watching Kristoff REALLY ride for Anna (no pun intended lol) added another layer of emotions that I think even grown adults will be able to appreciate.
I mean, if you think you had high expectations of love from watching the men in Tyler Perry’s rom coms sweep women off their feet with their southern charm, then Kristoff is about to knock you on your ass! Hard! Lol
Cause the man done set the bar higher by like at least another 12 feet. (And some of these 5′ 9″ dudes already couldn’t reach the bar before this. So good luck trying now sir. Lol) I mean he literally told Anna his love wasn’t fragile when she apologized for leaving him to help her sister!
Like I could write a whole other post about that one line, which I actually might after this, later today, but I mean like COME ON!
Here’s a man saying I don’t just love you, I understand you! Whatever, I’ll get into that rant later, but just know that the Frozen 2 movie is magical and if you didn’t watch the first – you don’t have to – just want this sequel! If you did watch the first film, then this one is gonna blow you away!
So like I said here, I think Frozen 2 is for US, not these damn kids! Lol But since our kids are DYING to watch this as well, here’s what Kristen Bell and I think about the Frozen 2 movie from a kids perspective.
I know some of you are worried if Frozen 2 is too dark for our kids and honestly, it’s intense, but it’s not too dark.
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough. From the Academy Award®- winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.
