AMC Dine In Theaters Are Just A Big Ass Distraction! There, I Said It, Fight Me!

And I’m not taking it back! (Look at them pretending to be happy! Lol) Last Friday my co workers and I drove out to Jersey (cause of course there ain’t never any good stuff in NYC, lol, okay there might be a few AMC Dine In theaters here in NYC, but they still ain’t in Brooklyn, so they’re far).

So we drove ALL the way to New Jersey (by choice, lol) and ended up at one of the AMC Dine In theaters to see Avengers: Endgame (which um … yeah, just go read my review here, lol I ain’t got time).

And even though this wasn’t my first time at a dine in theater, a few things caught me off guard this visit!

If you’re planning on visiting one of these AMC Dine In theaters, here’s a few things you should keep in mind …

No Early Arrivals

The first thing that “annoyed” me was that you can’t go into the movie theater early! We had to wait until 15 mins before the movie started to enter.

WTF! Why? Ugh! Lol

Now this is probably good for you folks who ain’t NEVER on time for anything anyway! But um …

Normally I go to the theater early, grab snacks, and then go sit and get comfortable and watch a few trailers until the movie comes on.

But nope, can’t do that here! *rolls eyes*

Too Much Light

Next annoying thing?

The lights at all the seats! They don’t ever turn off!

Now I get that the servers need to SEE when they bring everyone’s food out, but if the movie theater ain’t pitch black, what’s the point? Lol

Talking Servers Aka Noisy AF

And since I mentioned the servers, can we talk about how distracting it is for someone to be taking someone’s order WHILE you’re trying to watch a movie? Even if they whisper, it’s still annoying!

I’m gonna need ALL the AMC Dine in Theaters to figure out a better system for this, cause these bright ass lights and talking during the movie ain’t cutting it for me!

Oh and how ’bout I was annoyed at my damn self for making noise while trying to enjoy my food? Lol I got a burger, fries and a chocolate milkshake (which were SO good by the way lol no complaints there).

But since the burger is in parchment paper, it kept making noise as I tried to move the paper to eat it. Lol (And I bet you, had I moved the paper entirely I would have spilled something on my clothes. Lol)

So yeah, basically AMC Dine in Theaters are a big ass distraction! Lol Thank goodness I didn’t go see Captain Marvel or Us here, because I would have been LIVID! (I actually liked those damn movies! Lol)

And since the Sonic movie, and the Dora movie are coming out soon, UNLESS you DON’T mind the noise, you may not want to take the kids to a Dine In to see these. Lol

Definitely don’t go to see Aladdin at a Dine in! Lol

So when should you go to a Dine in theater?

Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t go at ALL, because like I said this isn’t my first time, I went a few years back for a date, and I don’t remember being this damn annoyed at everyone when we went. Lol But I do wanna warn y’all, just in case!

If anything, you should eat BEFORE you see the movie! Having the food right there is GREAT and their menu is pretty awesome!

It would be more helpful to go to one of these AMC Dine in theaters with the kids (or on a date, alone, whatever lol) and eat there, instead of having to go to the movie and then finding somewhere to eat after! Especially during the colder months when kids are starving, need real food, but don’t wanna walk in the cold! Lol

But if you’re planning on ordering food and eating inside – don’t sit next to me! Lol

I don’t care, I don’t care! I will not be this distracted during a movie, ever again! Lol
