shows and movies to watch this month July 2020

It’s finally July, and movie theaters are on their way to reopening but are you REALLY ready to head out this month? I mean we JUST went to the beach a few days ago, after being “locked” in the house for 3 months, so I’m not too sure I wanna venture out just yet. Which is why I figured we’d need another ‘what to watch this month aka the month of July 2020’ post again.

Honestly, I’d give almost anything right now to sit in a movie theater, with a large popcorn and coke, but since that’s not possible at the moment, I guess I’ll just have to settle for watching movies at home. Again!

Fine! Whatever!

Here’s what to watch this month – July 2020.

Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they’re the only ones who survived. Five is the last to land, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, which – spoiler alert! – turns out is a result of the group’s disruption of the timeline (déjà vu, anyone?).

Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to reunite, figure out what caused doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to stop that other apocalypse. All while being hunted by a trio of ruthless Swedish assassins. But seriously, no pressure or anything.

We Are Freestyle Love Supreme – July 17th

what to watch July 2020 We Are Freestyle Love Surpreme

Well before the world knew of the Tony award-winning Broadway musicals Hamilton and In The Heights, Lin-Manuel Miranda was in an improvisational hip-hop group called Freestyle Love Supreme along with director Thomas Kail and performers Christopher Jackson and Anthony Veneziale.

Filmmaker Andrew Fried began chronicling the group in the summer of 2005, documenting the early days of Freestyle Love Supreme beatboxing and rapping on the sidewalks—unaware of how their story would unfold. Fourteen years later, Fried captures them reuniting for a series of shows in New York City that led to a triumphant run on Broadway.

Both poignant and inspired, We Are Freestyle Love Supreme recalls the creative dreams of youth and why this show still means so much to these accomplished performers.
