If you watched Toy Story 4, which by now, I’m hoping you have! (Cause I mean, it’s been out long enough to now be on Digital, released a few days ago on Oct 1st, Blu-Ray and DVD, which released today, Oct 8th AND on this cute 4k Ultra HD Steelbook that’s only available at BestBuy starting on Oct 8th.) I even wrote a whole damn blog post about it (which you can read here).
So yeah … what’s your excuse? Lol Unless you’re my 7 year old who’s still currently mad at me for watching it without her. Lol (But then again, she’s gonna watch it tomorrow since Best Buy actually sent us a copy of their Toy Story 4 Steelbook, which I’m so excited to have, and she’ll be home for the day.)
The in home release has over an HOUR worth of extras, so even though I’ve seen Toy Story 4 TWICE, I can’t wait to see the deleted scenes. Lol Plus look at how cute the artwork is on Best Buy’s Steelbook! I remember growing up and wanting to collect DVDs JUST because I liked having the cases, but these Steelbooks take it to infinity and BEYOND! (I had to. Lol)
Toy Story 4 Steelbook Bonus Features
But any who … like I was saying, before I started rambling, if you watched Toy Story 4 (and you’re a parent) then you KNOW Bonnie’s mom and dad went through A LOT in this movie.
But sadly enough, no one ever talks about all the shit they went through! Everyone’s too damn focused on the stupid fork! Lol And if you’re a parent, then you can relate, because ever since I had my daughter, no one ever cares about me anymore, it’s all about HER!
But Bonnie’s mom and Andy’s dad (hehe) went through a LOT! Not only did their first kid go off to college, which I’m sure was a lot to take in and adapt too, their youngest kid was finally going off to Kindergarten! And boy did she make that process hell! Lol Bonnie took the news so damn hard her parents had to pretty much bribe her with a vacation. Lol Like listen here kid, we get it, you don’t wanna go but if you DO go, we’ll take you on this cool trip one last time before it starts so you can have something to talk about with your new friends once you get there. Little did they know this damn trip would make their lives hell. LOL
I swear to you I thought Bonnie’s dad was gonna just up and leave they asses behind. Lol Cause every time he turned around something was wrong. When Bonnie wasn’t throwing a damn fit and crying, she was moaning about some damn fork, and when she wasn’t complaining about losing her FORK, the RV was a mess! Lol That man was literally ONE more incident away from calling it quits and just leaving his family behind, I swear. Lol So kudos to all the parents out there that silently struggle, and still keep it together to make sure their kids have a wonderful life! Cause parenting ain’t easy damn it! Lol
Which is why, if you’re planning on having a Toy Story 4 themed party this year, you NEED to make these cocktails for the adults at the party, so they can “take the edge off” before they head back home to the chaos! Lol Cause trust me, I know those kids look wonderful when they’re all playing together at the party, but once they go back home, it’s a nightmare! Lol And just like Bonnie’s parents, some of your parent friends are silently struggling! So be nice to them! I know birthday parties are for the birthday kid, but it can’t hurt to serve a few cocktails to the adults since they probably wanted to stay home instead of getting dressed up and putting on a fake smile for the sake of their kid!
How To Make Toy Story 4 Themed Cocktails For Adults
When I thought about what I wanted these two drinks to be like, I instantly knew I wanted something light and sweet for moms, and something a little bit stronger for the dads. Lol
(But of course, if you’re a mom who LIKES strong drinks, then it’s totally okay to grab the drink you’d prefer, or just grab one of each. Hell, that’s what I would do! Lol)
Bonnie’s Mom Cocktail
To make a Bonnie’s Mom cocktail, you’ll need:
- 6 ounces of coconut rum
- 6 ounces of pineapple juice
- 3 ounces of cranberry cocktail
Slowly pour the rum, then the pineapple juice and then the cranberry cocktail into a glass, which I bought from Target for 2 bucks each, ahem, lol (grab them here) and that’s it! Simple as one, two three! (I’m a big fan of drinks that are EASY to make, especially when it comes to throwing parties. Lol)
Andy’s Dad Cocktail
To make an Andy’s Dad cocktail, you’ll need:
- 8 ounces of coconut rum
- 4 ounces of blue kinky liqueur
- 4 ounces of pineapple juice
Pour all three into a glass, and stir a bit to mix the alcohol in and then you’re done. Boom!
Both cocktails are a bit sweet, so if you know your dad guests would prefer something less sweet, just add less pineapple juice to the Andy’s Dad cocktail!
Now these Toy Story 4 themed cocktails are SUPER easy to make, on purpose, so you have absolutely NO excuse not to make them if you’re throwing a Toy Story party. And Best Buy’s collectible steelbook would make a cute party raffle, or fun wind-down activity for your kid once the party is over! So make sure you grab your copy today, right here, on Best Buy’s website. And if you happen to see any other Pixar films you totally LOVE (*cough* Up *cough* lol), you can save $5 on select Pixar titles when you purchase a Toy Story 4 steelbook. Just use the code “TOYSTORY5” at checkout.
And that’s it you guys! I made these drinks today and I kid you not I would have drank them both before work if I weren’t on a “water only diet” this month, despite having to go to work afterwards. Lol THAT’S how good they were! Let me know what you think and if they were a hit below in the comments!
