No, seriously, the “Candy Cane Lane” trailer starring Eddie Murphy is chaotic! It’s giving screaming goats chaos but with insane wild geese instead! And I’m here for it. I’ve been excited about Prime Video’s new film for a while now, but I couldn’t say anything for weeks due to the SAG strike.
Now that it’s OVER — I can scream to the hilltops! Eddie Murphy is one of my faves!! He’s always been my kind of funny, so I’m excited to watch his first Christmas movie. Cause that Halloween one, you know which one I’m talking about — the original Haunted Mansion aka the best one — still slaps.
Apparently though — this new “Candy Cane Lane” film reunites director Reginald Hudlin, Murphy, and producer Brian Grazer for the first time since their 1992 hit, “Boomerang“.
Which is also pretty freaking cool!
Plus, the screenplay comes from Kelly Younger, who was inspired by his own holiday experiences on Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo, California! Great, now I wanna visit Candy Cane Lane!!!
Of course, the film also stars Tracee Ellis Ross who we see in the trailer, attempting to help Eddie save himself from turning into “one of those weird Happy Meal toys”, so I’m pretty sure this is going to be a really fun, and wild ride this holiday season!
This insane Christmas adventure also stars: Thaddeus J. Mixson, Robin Thede, Chris Redd, D.C. Young Fly, Danielle Pinnock, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Genneya Walton, Nick Offerman, and Jillian Bell.

OH OH OH! I’m not saying this is true or whatever, but Google says this is a Comedy / Horror film? Which funny enough, I definitely got mild horror vibes from the trailer.
So I’ll be sure to let all my Scaredy Cats know how this one goes!
