So Warner Bros dropped a new trailer for “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” yesterday and while I’m excited for the film because “yassss more Harry Potter movies” … I saw someone mention something on Twitter that really struck a nerve.
And after seeing this tweet … I haven’t been able to shake the fact that he kind of has a point. I mean I care about these beasts, THAT’S why I truly watch these films!
I wanna learn more about them!
But for a film that’s named after these beasts, they sure aren’t featured much.
And when you take a look at the new “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” trailer, you can see how these magical beasts are really a side show in their own story!
Ain’t that some shit!
Watch the trailer below
I mean … it’s an odd complaint from a Harry Potter fan, who just so happens to be a Hufflepuff. Right? But it is a tad disheartening!
At this point I don’t even care about learning more about Dumbledore. I KNOW! You probably just had a heartattack reading that.
And as a fellow HP fan I get it! I remember wanting to know his back story as we grew with the movies and books. Yet, now that the story is finally HERE, I’m like meh. Give me the beasts! YOU PROMISED THE BEASTS!
So yeah … ugh. I’m sure had I not seen this tweet, I would have seriously enjoyed the new trailer. And even though I am definitely seeing this movie, I just feel sad about it. Hopefully though, the trailer is just a small fraction, and the beasts do have a good story this time! Cause that niffler needs more screen time! He’s adorable, and I want one! ASAP!
