So, last year was amazing thanks to Disney … With all their movies and what not. Lol I mean people are STILL talking about Black Panther so that’s something!

However, my absolute fav Disney movies from 2018 were: Black Panther (of course), A Wrinkle In Time, Incredibles 2, and Ralph Breaks The Internet (Wreck it Ralph 2).

And since those movies were SO good, I’m really excited to see what this year will be like.

Here’s Every Movie Disney Is Releasing This Year From March To December 2019.

March 9 – Captain Marvel

About The Movie

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

The film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace, with Annette Bening, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Patricia Whitcher and Stan Lee are the executive producers. The story is by Nicole Perlman and Joe Shrapnel & Anna Waterhouse, and the screenplay is by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck and Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Jac Schaeffer.

Marvel Studios’ CAPTAIN MARVEL opens on March 8, 2019 in U.S. theaters.

My Thoughts

I just watched the trailer and OH SH*T! Lol That first scene took me by surprise! But now I’m extremely excited to see this movie. I’m not gonna sit here and lie and act like I’m this big Marvel movie fan though, cause I’m not. I haven’t watched the last few Marvel movies, I have NO CLUE what is going on half the time, but this looks interesting. Lol

Then again, they all look interesting. Lol I just never have anyone to go to the movies with. I’m also here for a female lead in an action movie, so yah! I can’t wait to see this! This is a few days after my daughter’s birthday, so we’ll see what rating this movie gets, because I may take her.

March 29 – Dumbo

About The Movie

From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus.

But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Directed by Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger (“Ophelia,” “Dream House”), and produced by Justin Springer (“TRON: Legacy”), Kruger, Katterli Frauenfelder (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” “Big Eyes”) and Derek Frey (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” “Frankenweenie”).

DUMBO flies into theaters on March 29, 2019.

My Thoughts

First of all, I loved this movie as a kid. Secondly, my daughter LOVES elephants! (That’s exactly why her IG handle is @tinypinkelephants. Lol) I have no clue why elephants are her favorite animal, but I know she’s excited to see this movie, just as much as I am.

After watching the trailer, it seems like it’s going to really pull at my heart strings, and there may be a parenting lesson or two in this movie! Plus Tim Burton is the director AND Danny Devito is gonna be in this? Yeah! I can’t wait until this is released.

April 17 – Penguins

About The Movie

Disneynature’s all-new feature film “Penguins” is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family.

None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he’s targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after. From the filmmaking team behind “Bears” and “Chimpanzee,” Disneynature’s “Penguins” opens in theaters nationwide in time for Earth Day.

Disneynature’s PENGUINS opens in theaters on April 17, 2019.

My Thoughts

I’ve never been a big fan of Disney’s nature movies. I don’t know why, but I’ve never really cared much for them, despite loving animals. I’ve always thought of Disney Nature movies as movies that should stay on the discovery channel. Lol But maybe that’s because I’ve never actually watched the trailer for one until today? Lol I mean, if this movie is anything like the trailer, then I’m totally gonna enjoy watching it with my daughter! The trailer was cute!

April 26 – Avengers: Endgame

About The Movie

As soon as I get some info about this movie, I’ll update this post and let you guys know! Promise! AVENGERS: ENDGAME releases in U.S. theaters on April 26, 2019.

My Thoughts

Maybe I’m not that impressed because I haven’t seen the last Avengers? But Captain Marvel’s trailer was more exciting than this one. Lol But like I said, I ain’t a big Marvel fan, so I have NO CLUE what is going on.

Like at the end, I KNOW that person is a really big deal, but I have no clue who it is and why they’re confused about him being there. I feel like if I knew why, I probably woulda jumped out my seat for this too. Lol So yeah! I need to catch up. Lol

Eight-time Academy Award winning composer Alan Menken (“Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid”) provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar-winning lyricists Howard Ashman (“Little Shop of Horrors”) and Tim Rice (“The Lion King”) and includes two new songs written by Menken and Oscar and Tony Award-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land,” “Dear Evan Hanson”). The film, which was shot on practical stages in London and on location amidst the stunning desert vistas of Jordan, has a talented creative team helping to bring Agrabah to life, including: director of photography Alan Stewart (“The Commuter”), production designer Gemma Jackson (“Game of Thrones”) and costume designer Michael Wilkinson (“American Hustle”).

ALADDIN opens in U.S. theatres nationwide May 24, 2019.

My Thoughts

I’m excited for this movie! Like listening to Arabian Nights still gives me chills because I love it so much. Lol But Disney, can we movie it along please. Can I get an actual trailer for this movie? Lol Sigh! I wanna see what Will Smith is gonna be like, because I’m on the fence about him right now. I also wanna see Jafar and my monkey friend, okay? Lol

June 21 – Toy Story 4

About The Movie

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”).

Disney·Pixar’s TOY STORY 4 ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.

My Thoughts

I wrote about Toy Story 4 last year, when I first got the news about this movie (which you can read here) and let me tell you! I can’t WAIT for this to drop! At first I was like … ew, another Toy Story movie, I thought they said they were done with those. Lol And then they introduced us to the new characters and I was like OH WOW! This is gonna be SO good! I can’t freaking wait!

My Thoughts

Listen, who’s NOT excited about this movie? I mean! Lol I wrote about this one last year too, which you can read here, but I remember how excited everyone was when they found out Beyonce was in this, like it was yesterday. Lol

Listen, I’m not gonna lie though, I just wanna hear Childish Gambino, I mean Donald Glover’s voice in this. Lol I mean I’m dying to know what Beyonce is gonna sound like too, but Donald Glover is really what has me sold on this movie! Lol

August 9, 2019 – ARTEMIS FOWL

About The Movie

Disney’s “Artemis Fowl,” based on the beloved book by Eoin Colfer, is a fantastical, spellbinding adventure that follows the journey of 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he seeks to find his father who has mysteriously disappeared. With the help of his loyal protector Butler, Artemis sets out to find him, and in doing so uncovers an ancient, underground civilization—the amazingly advanced world of fairies.

Deducing that his father’s disappearance is somehow connected to the secretive, reclusive fairy world, cunning Artemis concocts a dangerous plan—so dangerous that he ultimately finds himself in a perilous war of wits with the all-powerful fairies.

“Artemis Fowl” is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Nonzo Anozie, with Josh Gad, and Judi Dench. Judy Hofflund and Branagh are producing with Angus More Gordon and Matthew Jenkins serving as executive producers. Conor McPherson wrote the screenplay.

Disney’s ARTEMIS FOWL opens in U.S. theaters on August 9, 2019.

My Thoughts

Did y’all read this as kids too? I can’t even remember if I read this book, or if I just watched everyone read it excitedly. Lol But I’m totally down for watching this movie! I swear it feels like Disney is pulling at our heart strings this year! Everything we loved as kids, they’re turning into a movie! Which is cool, give me a reason to sit in a movie theater once a month and stuff my face with popcorn, I’m fine with that. Lol

Okay yeah, I didn’t read this book, I’m totally lost after watching the trailer. But now would probably be a good time to read the book, especially since my daughter is getting better at reading. So that may be something we do to prepare for this movie.

November 22, 2019 – FROZEN 2

About The Movie

Arendelle heats up in 2019 when Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf return to the big screen in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2,” the much-anticipated follow-up to 2013’s Oscar®-winning “Frozen”—the highest grossing animated film of all time. My Thoughts

I have no clue what this movie is gonna be about this year, but my daughter is already excited. (I told her about it this morning.) Hopefully it won’t be as good as the first one, so we don’t have to hear our kids sing the songs for the next 5 years. Lol

But yeah, I’m interested in seeing what comes next!
