Y’all, I still can’t believe I f*cking LOVED the “Deadpool And Wolverine” movie! I’ve always loved the idea of Deadpool, because snarky characters are my jam! But I never made it through the first movie! It just felt way too cheesy and over the top. So I went into this movie blind, just praying I wouldn’t leave distressed, and they didn’t disappoint. Now I probably shouldn’t have laughed as much as I did in this movie, because some of these “Deadpool And Wolverine” quotes are honestly borderline offensive if you think about them. So don’t.
Just turn your brain off baby, and have a good time. Like I did, with my cute little Wolverine popcorn bucket. So thanks Disney for inviting me, to what now happens to be my favorite Deadpool movie of all time.
Here are 9 quotes from the “Deadpool And Wolverine” movie that might make you chuckle harder than you’d like to admit …
1. “The show stood between me and suicide for ten years.”
Deadpool: This quote perfectly captures Deadpool’s penchant for gallows humor. As he navigates his own tortured past, he throws out this line, simultaneously breaking the fourth wall and revealing the profound impact certain escapist elements have on him. And maybe us?
2. “Is that supposed to be scary? I’m not new to pegging.”
Deadpool: Only Deadpool can take a potentially intimidating situation and turn it into an eyebrow-raising joke about his personal experiences. With this line, he hilariously deflates tension with his brash sense of humor, leaving everyone around him either laughing or awkwardly silent. And since it’s on this list, now you know which crowd I sat in.
3. “Welcome to the MCU! By the way, you’re joining at a low point.”
Deadpool: This one-liner is a cheeky nod to the cinematic world he’s joining, highlighting Deadpool’s awareness of the fictional universe he inhabits. It’s a classic Deadpool moment that leaves fans both amused and slightly uncomfortable at the uncanny acknowledgment of real-world dynamics. Although, I don’t actually agree with this joke! I kinda like where the MCU is right now.
4. “And I’m Marvel Jesus. MJ, if you’re nasty.”
Deadpool: Here, Deadpool hilariously declares himself as the savior of the Marvel Universe. His trademark self-confidence shines through, alongside a playful nod to pop culture. The MJ reference is just the cherry on top, showcasing his flair for audacious humor. And boy was there a ton of nods to pop culture in this film! I loved it.
5. “Have you been checked for ADHD?”
Wolverine: Wolverine’s dry wit is on full display here. With his classic sarcastic tone, he pokes fun at Deadpool’s erratic behavior. It’s a perfect example of the dynamic between these two characters, balancing out Deadpool’s antics with Wolverine’s more stoic sense of humor. And now I know why I hated those first two Deadpool movies I never saw? Wolverine brings the kind of humor I thought Deadpool would have. But Deadpool felt way too childish, ironically.
6. “I didn’t lie. I made an educated wish.”
Deadpool: This is a quintessential Deadpool line, illustrating his habit of bending the truth to suit his needs. It’s the kind of clever twist that Deadpool fans love, combining mischief with a hint of childlike innocence. But the truthteller in me, doesn’t agree with this one either baby. A lie is a lie. WTF is an “educated wish”?
7. “You couldn’t even save a relationship with a goddamn stripper.”
Wolverine: In a rare moment of biting humor, Wolverine critiques Deadpool’s chaotic love life. The jab is sharp but undeniably funny, underscoring Wolverine’s ability to deliver a verbal punch with precision. And I won’t lie, this one did make me feel things. It’s not Deadpool’s fault he’s so damn childish. Oh wait … it is.
8. “Come on, man, if you’re not gonna swallow, spit it out.”
Deadpool: The double entendre in this line is classic Deadpool humor. It’s cheeky, slightly inappropriate, and undeniably funny—a perfect encapsulation of what makes Deadpool such an entertaining character. And it’s just another reminder of what kind of humor I really do enjoy.
9. “You know the Avengers discovered shawarma!?”
Deadpool: With this line, Deadpool pokes fun at the cultural impact of the Avengers franchise. It’s a humorous reminder of how something as mundane as food can become a pop culture icon, and it’s delivered in Deadpool’s typical offbeat fashion.
These lines may be outrageous, but they perfectly embody the chaos, charm, and sheer unpredictability that made the new “Deadpool And Wolverine” movie so f*cking awesome.
