Y’all know I love me some dranks and snacks at Disney! So the fact that 2023 is my first year at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival is kind of insane! (At this point, Disney needs to stop playing and just invite me yearly so I can continuously eat and drink my way around the world. Hell, I’ll happily get on a plane to fly out to Orlando for a full weekend to try everything I missed right now!) Because baby!
The Epcot Food and Wine Festival should not be completed all in ONE day. I’m sorry! I’ll write about why it’s insane to try eating and drinking “around the world” all in one day, later. But yeah … I need to go back! ASAP! And it needs to be a multi-day trip.
Plus, since the 2023 Food and Wine Festival doesn’t end until November 18, 2023, there’s actually time to go back and try a few more dishes! Without all the heat! I’d love to go back and tackle a few countries each day with my tween, who also loves trying new foods! That would be such a cool “Thanksgiving” activity to do in November.
However, if YOU haven’t been yet, here’s a list of everything I NEED you to try! Like for real! I’m begging thee.
Your 2023 Epcot Food And Wine Festival Must Eat + Drink List
Note: This list isn’t in world order, it’s actually in recommendation order. So you’ll have to keep that in mind when you’re walking around, but you should totally try everything on this list! I’ll add a printable checklist at the end so you can keep it with you if needed.
These Pan-Fried Dumplings in China are an absolute must.
Rating: 9/10
I didn’t even order this, but as soon as I grabbed a bite from my friend, I immediately had regrets! I was sort of on a budget, so I didn’t go back and buy my own, but I really, REALLY wanted to. And that’s saying a lot since I’m picky and I rarely ever eat dumplings! But these were delicious!
Do NOT, I repeat, do not leave without grabbing an Italian Margarita from Italy.
Rating: 9/10
It’s made with limoncello, and tequila I believe and it hits all the right spots on a hot Summer day in Epcot! (Especially since this is towards the middle of all of the countries so you’ll have to do some walking to get here! But boy is it worth it!) I probably would have given this a 10/10 if it were colder when I got it! It’s perfectly sweet and refreshing! And next time I’ll just grab two ahead of time.
Don’t get one — grab two of these yummy Chocolate Waffles in Belgium.
Rating: 9/10
Seriously! If waffles are your thing, like they are mine, this one’s a must! I ate this cutie, and then immediately wanted another! It was SO freaking good!! This is the only item I actually bought two of, because it was actually pretty cheap, and the waffle is so light and fluffy — I didn’t think I’d be overstuffed after eating this. So just save yourself the trouble of having to get online twice, and order two of these bad boys!
When you’re finally in Japan, go straight for their Sake Passion Cocktail.
Rating: 9/10
Ignore everything on the menu and just get this! I’m kidding. I haven’t even tried everything on that dang menu. But this was so freaking good. I wasn’t sure what it would taste like, since there were no ingredients listed. But when I asked the cast member what was in it, who also had no clue, she immediately grabbed a big binder of all the items and told me! Of course, I don’t even remember what’s inside now, since I never wrote it down. But just know this is also pretty sweet. And listen, if you like it, I won’t hate you if you grab two of these as well. It’s not that strong.
A Gyro in Greece? Don’t mind if I do.
Rating: 9/10
This one wasn’t mine either, by the time we got to Greece I was pretty freaking stuffed! However, I did manage to grab a bite and it was SO much better than I expected it to be! I was actually really sad I didn’t have any space left in my stomach to grab my own.
This delicious Frozen Rosé can be found in Germany.
Rating: 9/10
And it’s so small but so absolutely delicious! After starting in Mexico, and being quite disappointed by a lot of the drinks I tasted, this Frozen Rosé was a big freaking relief and I happily drank the entire cup. I just wish it were a bit bigger!
Last, but not least — don’t forget to grab these DanDan Noodles in China.
Rating: 7.5/10
Listen, after visiting Smorgasburg here in NYC, and falling in love with the DanDan noodles there … I immediately grabbed this in China. Even though this dish has the lowest rating on this list, and the dumplings above are way tastier, I can’t stop thinking about these damn noodles! I can pretty much still taste it til this very day.
And while it wasn’t the best thing I tasted at the 2023 Food and Wine Festival, it left a long enough impression on me that I think makes this one worth adding to the list. PLUS, it’s a bit “different” than what I’m usually used to, so if you’re a picky eater like moi — this one still kind of hits, considering peanut butter and pasta shouldn’t even go together! I feel like I should have completely hated this. But I didn’t. And so yeah, it’s worth not skipping, just to try it.
** PEANUT ALLERGY ** It may not look like it, but this definitely has a lot of peanut butter in it! So if you’re allergic, stay clear, please!
Of course — I ate a few more things, and drank a few more drinks, than what’s above during the 2023 Food and Wine Festival. But these were the absolute best! I’ll share a full list of everything I tasted at the festival soon, but these are for sure the ones I recommend everyone try at least once. Especially if you’re a picky eater like me, who’s finally starting to try new foods, and loves sweet delicious foods and drinks!
